Musical History...

Began playing guitar age 7. No lessons, just a Tune a Day
book and an early discovery of the Rolling Stones.
The first paying gigs were at the age 13; the band was
called Motorway, playing mostly Shadows covers.

· 1979: Formed a band called 'Bad', playing Thin Lizzy and
  Steve Miller covers.

· 1980: Formed The Stare, playing totally original material
heavily influenced by The Jam and The Clash.

· 1982: `Ringo Chubb and the Screaming Toilet Fish from
Mars`, formed initially as a joke for a friend's party but
ended up lasting seven years. High points of this band
included two gigs at the London Hippodrome. The bands
material included a mix of Soul and R&B covers along with
  some original material.

· 1988: `Tropical Clive & the Blues Crew` - Soul covers as
authentic as they get, even down to carrying a valve
  Hammond B3 organ around.

· 1990: Mr Soul called and here I am.
